NEW ZEALAND ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS EXHIBITION.
The annual exhibition of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts now in progress at the Whitmore Street Gallery will remain open every day and evening this week. This year's exhibition is of a uniformly high standard throughout and collectors of pictures desiring to acquire, a painting could not do' better than to pay a visit to the art gallery, where they can be assured of finding many pictures which would make very beautiful decorations on the walls of their homes'. In addition to those already published, the following pictures have been sold:—"Lake Wanaka," by W. Basil Honour; "Winter Gerona," by James Cook; "Limestone Hills, Blue Duck, Kaikoura," by A. E. Baxter; and "Sunshine and Shadow," by Mrs. R. V. R. Rankin. Mr. Walter Nash, M.P., has been advised by the Hon.
