SYDNEY, July 24.
Sydney's champion hurdler, Greensea, established a race record at Rosehill today when he carried 13.12 to victory in the Brush Hurdle, in which he conceded each of his three opponents over four stone. Greensea, who covered the mile and a half in 2min 43sec, received a wonderful ovation from the crowd.
Dual Ratio comfortably won the Maiden Handicap for three- and four-year-olds, in which 25 started,-including Viking, who was unplaced. Monanui and Cavalcade were unplaced in the Flying Welter, Limbohm, Cockpen, and Samovar were unplaced in the Rosehill Handicap, and Limoux was fourth in the Carlingford Mile.
Greensea's latest performance eclipses his feat of July 8 when he carried 13.8 to victory in the Second Hurdles at the A.J.C. Meeting at Randwick.
