MR. JOHN FULLER PLEASED
From time to time Mr. John Fuller, formerly of Wellington but now ot Sydney, on his periodical visits to New Zealand from Australia has criticised the port health and Customs examination methods employed in this country. Within the past twelve months or so radical changes have been made in this direction with a view to speeding up the procedure, and on his arrival by the Mbnowai yesterday afternoon Mr. Fuller, instead of cr'ticising, had praise to bestow. Mr. Fuller told a "Post" reporter that he was very pleased to note the improvements. There was practically no delay under the new system, and he thought that was all to the good, and would be very acceptable to passengers. It would set people more at ease, and, moreover, in his opinion, would give them a better first impression of the port. Mr. Fuller also commented on" the faster service now operating between Sydney and New Zealand. The fact that the Tasman was now being crossed in three days was an important factor in passenger traffic between the two countries.
