WEDDINGS
ORBELL-^HOUSTON. ' The wedding took place at St. Paul's Church, Christchurch, of Sheila Margaret, \ only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. 'Leslie Houston,* Christchurch, formerly of Nap||r,; aftd Geoffrey Buckland, only son at Mr. and Mrs. L. H. OrbelV Winchester. The Rev. W. H. Johnson, Dunedin, \officiated, assisted iby the Rev. W. H. Orbell, uncle of the bridegroom.- Mr^ G. Wilson presided at theorgan. Mr. Houston escorted his daughter, who wore a gown of ivory silk moire, ■with the skirt forming a long train. A tiny spray of velvet arum lilies and leaves decorated the square neck line. She wore a tulle '/veil, held in place by. orange blossom, ] and it, formed ' a train. The two bridesmaids, Miss Jule O'Kane, 'Alexandra, and Miss Audrey 'Eberlet, New; Plymouth,. wore frocks' of powder blue and deep primrose respectively. , Both were made with trains,- and ' tiaras, of yellow flowers "were worn. The bridesmaids' bouquets-, were als.o in shades 'ot yellow. . .' , Mr. Martin Dawson was'best man, and Mr. Alan Orbell was' groomsman. At the reception at ithe. Winter, Garden, Mrs. Houston received her guests wearing a floral'moss crepe gown; with a black hati ,_ Her bouquet was of carnations' and 'roses.1 Mrs. ' Orbell,- the bridegroonVs: mother, was in: nigger brown lace, with!'brown-hat.
