VISITORS ENTERTAINED
The executive of'the-English-speak-ing Union entertained Dr. and Mrs. Keppel' (New-York) at team the Palm .Lounge, Hotel St. George, yesterday. A happy hour was spent with these distinguished visitors, and Mr. H. G. Miller, in welcoming them to Wellington, said that it was a matter'for regret that .their visit was both short and hurried, and therefore it had been impossible to make it a general gathering, to give members the privilege of meeting them. ■ Those present included Dr. and Mrs. Keppel, Mr. and Mrs. Bucklin', Mr.; H: G. Miller, Miss E. M. Black, Mrs. Preston, Mrs. Behnie," Mrs. Carler, Mrs. Claridge, Mrs. Hill, Mrs. H. D. Bennett, Mr. and^Mrs. O. Benge, Miss Ruth (London), Mrs. Lepper (Melbourne)vi,Dr.. Beaumont, Mr. A. Leigh Hunt, Mr.' A. Gibbs, and the secretary, Miss Z. Mason.
