1 The president, Captain Galloway, presided at the recent well-attendod meeting of the (Dickens Fellowship, and welcomed all visitors. ' . - ' .. Mr. Byron Brown entertained the eathering with a most delightful talk on little-ltnown phases of <• Dickens's life, during- which ho read various points, extracts, and criticisms. He was ably assisted by his daughter, Mrs. Burgess, and by Mrs. Syd. Tingoy.'who read interesting articles throwing sidOlights on the character of Dickens. _ , Miss Kathleen Jansen sang charmingly some beautiful,solos and Miss Hope Flaws gave very great pleasure with her delightful violin solos. \ Hope was expressed that Mr. Brown would give another talk in the near future. Mrs. Galloway, aftd Mrs. Wigg were the accompanists. •
