Many people, who understand in the I least the great value of the work.done for the very young citizens.of Wei lington ana district at the Otaki health camp, will be able to give a little assistance to the funds by attending a dance .recital which will be given at the Concert Chamber, on Wednesday evening- next, by Miss Dorothy Daniels and her pupils, in aid of the t unds. Last year about 500 children received benefit at the Otaki camp. 'It was a happy place, where many children were brought up to a proper and reasonable health standard, after having been found suffering, and in many cases far removed from the thoroughly healthy, and therefore happy, stato which is tne right of every child. . The Health Camp Association aims at placing at least SO children at the camp during the Christmas holidays. An official make* the statement, We cannot take the children «^9 assured .of-'sufflcient fiance. Will you help us,.give these SO. children theneedful care and sunshine .which will cive them a chance to become useful citizens of the future? The camp is >n no way a hospital, and its objects are to bring back to health in body and temperament, by means of fresh air, sunlight, good food, and regular habite, those children who by recent illness or f aultyNnvironment and feed; ing cannot otherwise regain their feet. This seems a very reasonable request, and necessarily comes at tne outset of summer, which P™n"f S'very favourably this year. Added to the pleasure of helping these children to health by attending, the recital onWednesday evening is the certainty of a-delightful.entertainment.' This will includo a Gypsy Encampment, Skipping and Cossack dances, charming scenas, such as "Morning," "Cornelia- Valse, and others, with a wonderful showing of "Bold Bad Pirates," and a "comic entitled "My Hat's on the Side of My Head," as well as other excellent items. Miss Daniels's well-trained pupiJs will certainly give a good account or themsolves, and are excellent helpers in the cause of other children who are I less fortunate in life.
