LYALL BAY
' The Lyall Bay Club is sure to be in tho limelight again this season. It has a very sound membership of really good performers, and almost all of them will be assisting tho club again. Naturally, surf life-saving work engages a lot of the attention of tho'members, but the \ralue of competitive swimming is fully realised and encouraged so that members may fit themselves for the rigours of surf work. Last season the club put up some excellent performances in both branches of its activities, achieving successes that will be hard to retain, but in all probability the aim will be to go one better thi9 year. In this respect, the club appears\to be well equipped for a strenuous season, and with tho feeling of good club spirit that exists, there is-no reason to doubt that, the always prominent position the club has, held will bo maintained. Almost the 'whole of the officials will again bo assisting, and in this connection the club will be well served.; ■
