' The first political blast arising out of the impending Congressional elections was made by the Republican National Committee tonight when it issued a financial analysis strongly condemning the New Deal. Tho committee presented statistics showing that the Government had spent 13,518 dollars every minute during tho last fiscal year, and since receipts only averaged 5028 dollars, the deficit was piling up at tho rate of 7590 dollars a minute. With a deficit at June 30 last of four billion dollars, and tho Public Debt at August 31 of 26,493 billion dollars, the Government was "going back eleven million dollars overy day."
