EVENTS AT MOUNT COOK

THE HERMITAGE, August 27,
The inter-club ski championship concluded at Mount Cook today with the slalom and relay events on Ball Glacier, in perfect weather. Eighteen inches of snow which fell during the last few days made up for the shortage during this season, nud skiing conditions were excellent.
Results are as follows
Men's Novice Slalom Hate.—J. Barron (Otago Ski Club), lmiu liisee, 1; G-. Simpson (Aorangi Ski Club), lmin 2Ssec, 2; 31. Couper (A.S.C.), lmin SOsec, 3.
Men's Slalom, Open Championship.—!'. Drewitt (Tasman Ski Club), lmin 47sec, 1; N. McGregor (Southland Ski Chib), 2min 24sec, 2; L. Mahan (Tasman Ski Club), 3min 22sec, 3. Women's Slalom Race, Open Championship.—Mrs. D. Mackie (A.S.C.), 2min 24 see, 1; Miss N. King (Christchurch Ski Club), 3min 24sec, 2.
Ski Jump.—L. Mahan (T.S.C.), 24ft Sin, 1; J. Barron (Otago Ski Club), 20ft 3in, 2. The Hudson Cup, for the most points gained in the downhill and slalom events, was won by F. Drewitt (T.S.C.).
The men's championship for the most points in downhill, cross-country, and slalom events: F. Drewitt (T.S.C.), 276 points, 1; N. McGregor (S.S.C.), 260 points, 2; M. Couper (A.S.C.), 191 points, 3. Intei'-club Relay Race.—Aorangi Ski Club (Mrs. Williams, Miss Mackie, H. Coxhead, and M. Couper), 1; Tasman Ski Clnb (Mrs. Dawson, Miss Reeves, F. Drewitt, and L. Mahan), 2. Inter-club Competition.—Final: T.S.C., 13 points, 1; A.S.C., 13 points, 2; S.S.C., 7 points, 3.
