WEDDINGS

KING —CLIFFOBD-MABSII.

A wedding of much- interest took place- recently, at St. Thomas's Church, Newtown, when. Miss Nona CliffordMarsh, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George-' Clifford-Marsh, Berhamporc, was married to Albert Gordon King, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert King, Newtown.

The bi'iclc, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming frock of white satin with beautiful lace forming tho yoke a,nd sleeves to the elbow, finished with tight-fitting cuffs of satin.' The skirt, made on close-fitting lines to,the knee, was arrayed with godets to form a very full skirt. The beautiful veil was arranged with pearls and hold in place with clusters of orange blossom, and a shower sheaf of white roses and carnations with a trailer of roses reaching to the hem of her gown was carried. Tho bridesmaids were/ Miss Gwendoline Clifford Marsh (chief), and Miss Mavis King, ana Miss Zelda King was the flowergirl. They were frockea in blue, apricot, and lomon respectively. Their frocks were all made alike, the square necklines having three epaulettes over the shoulders, and with full skirts finished at tho back with hugh bows. They wore large picture hats of georgette to match. The two bridesmaids carried beautiful bouquets of roses, carnations, and gladioli in apricot shades, while the flowergirl carried a basket of lemon gladioli. ■

The duties of besfc man and groomsman were carriotl out by Mr. ■ Eoland King and' Sir. Albert' Clifford-MaTsh respectively. . -:."..: .' ; ;

Upon leaving tho church the bride was presented with a bluo.horseshoe. The reception;washeld-ab'the-Mokoia Hall whore the guests were received'by the bride's mother, Mrs: G. CliffordMarsh, who was dressed in an ensemble of ehocolato and fawn with hat to match. She was assisted by the mother of the bridegroom, Mrs. Albert King, who wore a gown of beige georgette and lace with hat to tone. Both carried posies to tono with their gowns The-bride and bridegroom left later by car for the ;north,- the bride travelling in a black- tailored costume' with all black and white' accessories to match. • : . ■■••■
