SOCIAL PROGRESS
KARORI CROUP MEETS
The Karori group of tho "Women's Social Progress Movement" held a very succesful meeting recently at the home of Mrs. G. W. Guthrie, Old Karori Eoad. There was a splendid attendance of members and friends.
Mrs. H. D.-Bennett took the chair and opened the meeting with a. short and appropriate address, afterwards introducing the.speaker, Miss Mary Seaton who gave an interesting talk on tho "Pan-Pacific Conference." She outlined the aims: of the conference and also gave her impressions of some of the'notable women she met there. A hearty, vote of thanks was given to the speaker. ; .
MissEthna Greig contributed two charming songs, and afternoon tea was dispensed by the committee. A vote of;, thanks'.to', tho hostess, Mrs. Oh W Guthrie was carried by acclamation.
