SCOTTISH CLUB

The fourteenth annual general meethig of the Scottish Harriets) and A.A. Club was presided over by Mr. W. Ballantyne, sen. There was a. fair muster of ihchvbers, and several new-members were nominated. The annual report showed that the club had a very good season, and. that everything pointed to a good season for 1934----35. , LThe handicapper (Mr. J. W. O'Neill) was elected a life member of the club in recognition of his valuable work and assistance over a- long period. It was with regret that, the meeting received, the news of the retirement from', competitive Tunning, of an old'fitalwa^ i» Mr. •F. B. o'Fre/ldy") Silver. An active member of.the club for a decade, Mr. Silver has been its bCst athlete, and his services to the club and athletics in general are' appreciated. He has filled many_ executive positions, and the club owes in no small measure its present position, particularly its iinanciivl position, to him. The following officers wuie elected:— Patron. Mr. R.
