CHRISTCHURCH, November 29.

A poll for the election of the Tramway Board will be heldi tomorrow. There is unprecedented interest in the election, as ehown by the heavy enrolment of electors.

The interest has been aroused by the effort made by the Labour Party to gain control of the board, Mid in the candidates' speeches and propaganda on both sides there have been references! to' the stt-ike of last year.

Anti-Labour candidates haye suggested that if Labour gains control of the board volunteers who manned the trams during the strike will bo dismissed.
