AUCKLAND SKIN PRICES.
There was a fairly large offering at the fortnightly sale of hides and sheepskins held at Auckland on Tuesday. The demand was steady, exporters being chief operators. Ox hides showed a slight rise in value, cow hides and sheepskins selling at rate rates. Prices for best grades of sheepskins were as follows: —Dried: Threequarter to full wool, medium to fine crossbred, VAd to 7%d; coarse crossbred, sV£d to 5%d; damaged and faulty, 4d to 4%d; ■half-wools, medium, to fine crossbred, 59id to 6d; coarse crossbred, 4%d to 494 d; damaged aud faulty, 3%d to 3%d; lambskins and hoggets, fine crossbred, 7d to 7 %d; damaged and faulty, sAd to 6%d, Salted: Three-quarter to. full wool, large, 5s 3d to 5s 9cl each; light to medium, 4s to 4s 8d; half to three-quarter wools, large, 4s to 4s 6d; light to medium, 2s Cd to 3s 4d; hoggets, medium to large, 3s 6d to 4s 4d; light and small, Is Sd to 25." Tallow: Best mixed, 16s 6d to 17s per cwt; second grade, 13s 6d to 15s 3d; inferior, 8s 6d to 11s 6d. The market is unchanged.
