United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, October 4. At the Sydney wool sales, 12,578 bales were offered, and 11,715 sold at auction, also 567 privately. There was animated competition in all sections, the market being very firm for all descriptions, aud good clearances were made. Greasy merino sold at 24'/kl, constituting a fresh record for the season, which was secured for eight bales from Morce.
