Values for fat sheep and fat lambs fell at Addington today, both sections attracting heavy entries. , Store sheep.—A very small entry and a poor selection comprising mainly aged ewes with lambs. Prices were about'on a par ■with last.■week.. Values were:—^Good ewe hoggets, to 17s 7d; medium ewes and lambs (all counted), to 12s Id; ordinary, 75,.t0 9s; ordinary wethers, 13s 9d to 15s ■ Cd. Spring lambs: An entry of 340, with the quality mixed. Prices were 2s to 3s down. The average price was 8d to 9d, and the top price 27s Id. Tat sheep.—An entry of 3700, the quality being generally poor, with consignments from, the North Island as well as Southland. Only the best met a good demand, and these were distinctly cheaper, while others were a full 2s easier. Values were: Extra- prime heavy wethers, to 36s 7d; prhne heavy, 30s to 31s; medium weight prime, 2Gs 6d to 29s 6d; ordinary, 22s to 265; light, 17s to 20s; extra prime heavy ewes, to 38s 4d; prime heavy, 27s to 31s; medium weight, prime, 24s to 2Cs j 6d; ordinary, 20s Cd to 23s 6d; light, 16s Gd to 20s. i Fat cattle.—An entry 6f 300 with ISO from the North Island and 60 from the \Vest Coast and several lines from Southland. The quality was good all through, and values were' the same, as last ■week except for heavy cows, which were £1 cheaper. Best beef made from 26s to 295, occasion*! pens making over 30s; good, 22s to. 265; heavyweight,, 195.t0 225; medium, las to 18s; rough, down to 14s. Values were: Extra prime heavy steers, to £13 7s Gd; prime heavy, £9 10s to £12; prime heavyweight, £8 10s to £10 10s; ordinary, £6 10s to £8; light, to £6; extra prime heifers, to £10 17s 6d: prime, £6 15s to £8 15s; medium, £4 15s to £6 ss;-light, to £4 10s; extra prime cows, to £9 12s Gd; prime, £5 10s to £7 10s; medium, £4 to £5 ss; light, to £3 15s. Fat pigs.—A medium entry with a good demand. Values were: Choppers, 25s to £2 18s 6d; baconers, 42s 6d to 52s Gd: heavy, 56s 6d to £2 18s Cd; extra, to £3 5s 6d; average price a pound, 4%d to 4%d; porkers, 25s 6d to 32s 6d; heavy, 35s 6d to £2 Is 6d; average, 4%d to 5%d.
