LIVE STOCK VALUES

(Special to tho "Evening Post.") MASTERTON, This Day. An interesting indication of the improvement in stock values appears in the fact that a runholdeu in the Wairarapa district last week sold five-year-old breeding ewes for 15s a head. The price he obtained last year for the same class of stock was 7s 4d. The very highest price paid for five-year-old breeding ewes in the Wairarapa district last year appears to have been about 9s. : The prices mentioned are in all cases for ewes to be delivered some months hence, after they have been shorn, and allowance must be made for this in any comparison with, prices obtained at current sales for sheep in tEe wool.
