OBITUARY
MRS. "W. G. EEID.
Very deep regret will be felt'-at 'the death, which took" placo' ml, Tuesday evening, of Mrs.. Bnth Eeid, wife of Mr. W. G. Eeid, o£ 12? VivianVfetreet, and the numerous-societies., and -organisations in which >-Bhe"wi9 interested will greatly miss her gtnerous and continued suppoit. The late Mrs. Beid, who was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. Phillip Moeller, of Wellington, was very well known and much respected as an active helper in all philanthropic works. She^ was particularly interested in the Citizens' Day Nursery," of which sho was president for some years, and her kindly nature and great generosity will also be remembered, 'by many other organisations. Sho was a vice-president of the Victoria League,,a member the executive of the Girl Guides, and. a delegate from the auxiliary of the Wellington Free Kindergarten, to tlie Kindergarten Council.
Her many friends, who never appealed in vain,to her for help in any work of charity, will sympathise deeply with her1! husband and family, which includes one daughter (Mrs. David Hamilton), one son (Mr. Gordon Kinross Crawford), and one- grandchild (Leslie Mary Hamilton). Mrs. H. Arndt, of Wellington, and Mrs. Percy Herman, of Auckland, are sisters. Another son, Mr. George Crawford,, was* killed during the war.
