The many friends of Mr. W. J. Morrell, rector of, the. Otago Boys'' High School and Chancellor of the Otago University Council, .will regret to'hear of the death of his eldest- daughter, Patience, after a long illness. Miss Morrell was one of Otago University's most brilliant students, having obtained her M.A. degree in 1924, witli honours in English and Trench. . y- '.' Even in the few short years at her disposal she had done excellent work in her chosen profession, and endeared herself io her 'pupils at the Christchurch Girls', High School and at Archcrfiold College, Dunediri.
