FAIR TO CLOUDY
WEATHER FORECAST
Tho weather forecast issued at noon today promises fair to cloudy and miftler weather. Unsettled conditions will gradually develop in western districts tomorrow, however,' and general rains are likely early in the week. Winds wiii be variable at first, with light to moderate southerlies predominating, but shortly tending north-east and north and gradually freshening. A few isolated showers have fullen in districts with a westerly aspect and in.the far south, .but generally fair weather has prevailed under tho influence of an anticyclone which now envelops the Dominion. Winds havo been light to moderate and variable, but southerlies have prevailed in the northern-most districts, and this morning directions wore mainly southerly. A cyclone east of the New South Wales coast has deepened considerably and is likely to affect the Dominion in the early part of next week. In Auckland a light southerly provailed yesterday, ,and the weather was somewhat changeable with cloudy conditions predominating. Light Tain fell in the evening. ( It was a mild and pleasant day at Wellington with a light northerly wind. There were four hours of sunshine. At Christchurch, after an early morning fog, the weather cleared and was fair and' calm. Conditions became foggy again in tho night. Dunedin experienced fair to cloudy weather with yory little wind. Some rain, fell therq during the. Jiight.
