FOR WASHING DRESSES
TWO GIRLS BURNT TO DEATH
(Eeceived June 6, 10 a.m.) PEETH, This Day. Elsie Martin, 21, and her companion, Blanche .Moore, 19, were burned to death at the weekend in a tragic manner at Narembeen, 150 miles east of Perth. The girls, having had a bath, using a chip heater, commenced to wash their dresses, using petrol. Finally they emptied the remainder of the petrol into the bath, the fumes from which ignited. The girls were terribly burned,!' and died within a few hours. A third girl had left the bathroom just before the occurrence. '
