SEAMAN'S CLAIM

"I am obliged to counsel for the way they have investigated a difficult case of law," said Air. E. Page, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court yesterday after hcariug legal submissions in' connection with tho case of John Brown, a seaman, who is claiming £250 damages from the Seamen's Union, the president (F1. P. "Walsh),'and twelve mem-, bcrs of the crow of Uie s.s. Waihcmo. Brown, in his statement of claim, alleged that tho defendants had conspired together to deprive him of his employment. The hearing of evidence was concluded on Friday, and yesterday Mr. E. P. Hay (for' tfio defendants) and Mr. W. P. Rollings (for the plaintiff) submitted legal argument. The Magistrate reserved his decision.
