LOW INSURANCE RATE

The very satisfactory insurance arrangetnents made in connection with the Wellington free Ambulance's new building was referred to by the chairman (Mr. C: J. B. Xorwoocl) at today's meeting of tile A-mbulance- Board. The rate on the building, he said, was 2s per cent, and on the contents 3s per cent., and the arrange ments made? with the underwriters were complimentary to all concerned, particularly the architects who had designed the building in such a way that the risk was very small. It would probably be the lowest rate in the city, and he w,is delighted to be able to report the matter as indicating -another savins to the -service. Mr. Xorwood mentioned that the board would also save £28 a month in rent in its new quarters.
