BUTTER MARKET

Mr. G. A. Mills, representing A.J. Mills and Co., Ltd., London, reports that cabled advice from London under date February 16 gives the following market prices as ruling at the close of business on Thursday, 16th instant: "Butter—The market is weak; arrivals not clearing; New Zealand, finest 76s to 775, firsts 75s to 765, unsalted 78s to 80s; Danish, 106s to 108s; Australian, 73s to 755; Argentine, 70s to 765. Cheese—The market is steadier. Cheese is well sold up. New Zealand, white 44s to 455, coloured 53s to 545; Canadian, white 64s to 665, coloured 65s to 675." Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co;, Ltd., have received from Messrs. Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, the following cabled advice,. dated February 16, 1933: "New Zealand butter, 76s per cwt; very quiet. New Zealand cheese—white 44s Gd per cwt, firm on spot; coloured 52s to 54g per cwt, weak, rapid reduction; premium on white likely." Messrs. Samuel Page and Son report under date!of the 16th. instant: "Butter— The market is weak; Prices,, with last week£ in parentheses, are: Danish^ 106s 110s to 112s; New Zealand finest salted, 76s to 78s (795.t0 80s); Australian finest tfnsalted, 74s to 77s (76s to 795); Australian finest salted, 73s to 755,(75s to 775); Australian, G.A.Q. 70s to 72s (72s to 745): Cheese—The market is'weak. New Zealand, white 44s to 45s (46s to 48s); cbloured 52s to 54s (57s to 58s); spot price for Canadian white 58s to 60s (60s to 68s), coloured 60s to 68s (603 to 685)."
