(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) •""MASTERTON, February 16. An exceptionally keen demand for flock' Romneys was a feature of the Hasterton ram fair today. There was a large and representative bench of buyers, and competition for' the better class animals was [ keen. Sir William Perry received the top price of 39 gns. for a, fine stud ram sold to Mi\ J. Came Bidwill „ (Featherston). Sir William Perry also received 30 gns. and 27 gns. The demand for flock Eomneys exceeded-the supply> and the bidding was animated. Prices ranged from lVs to 10% guineas. . There was no demand .for stud Lincolns. The top "price for flock Lincolns was 5. guineas.
COMMONWEALTH BANK DISCOUNT RATE.
SYDNEY, February 16. \ - The Commonwealth Bank Board has decided to reduce the discount rate on three months' Treasury bills from 3*A per cent, to 2%. per cent. . The new rate will apply to all bills discounted subsequent to February 17, whether for the renewal of outstanding bills or otherwise.
