LONDON, 29th Julr. Low; scoring marked the latest series of-county cricket, the x only teams to roach more than moderate totals being Sussex, who declared their first innings against. Derbyshire closed after they had.scored^ 349 for eight Wickets. No; outright wins were recorded, the majority of the matches being drawn. Centuries were scored by H. Parks for Sussex, and Walker for Nottinghamshire. The results were:—
Gloucestershire, 99 for two wickets, v. Surrey. Match drawn. Ebsex, 189 for nine wickets (declaied); Glamorgan, 70 for three wickGts. Match drawn.
Hampshire,. 183; .Worcestershire, 164. Hampshire won ori'the:first innings. Sussex, 349 ■ for eight: -wickets, declared (H. Parks 112 not out); Derbyshire, 15 for five, wickets. • Match drawn
