The Napier plans for the erection of a memorial over the community grave of the eighty-four earthquake victims at Parko Island Cemetery have now been completed, and tenders for its erection are to be called within the next few days. When prices for the work have been obtained, they, together with the plans which have received the approval of the sub-committee of tho Napier Earthquake Memorial Committee' set-up to deal with them', will be submitted to a meeting"of citizens, which will then consider the ways and means of raising tho necessary money to' pay for the erection of the memorial. The central feature of tho memorial will bo an obelisk about which there will be concrete paths and a garden border design. . ; , .
