AIR FORCE IN ACTION

(Received Ist February, noon.)

CALCUTTA, Ist February. Since noon the Royal Air Fores 'planes have been bombing insurgents in the tribal villages in the Malakand district on the North-west Frontier of India as the sequel to attacks on British posts. Warnings of the impending action were dropped from aeroplanes. Leaflets gave the reason for bombing, and advised the removal of women and children to safety. They declared that bombing will continue daily until representatives, bringing hostages, report to the political officer at Malakand.

The disturbance is due to Congress propaganda.
