FINE, OVERCOAT WEATHER
The Wairarapa Racing Clubs Summer Meeting was opened at Tauherenikau yesterday in generally fine weather, but with occasional light showers drifting clown from the hills. The track was hard and fast. The attendance was excellent, particularly on the outside, but thetotalisator turnover of £16,421 10s represented a decline of £5774 on the figures for the first day last year.
