The very small entry of fat sheep at the stock sale to-day met with a fair demand, prices being about last week's rates.
Fat ewes, best 7s lOd to 9s 3d, good Gs 9d to 7s 2d, medium 5s to b's Id. Fat wethers, best lls Id to 11s 2d, good 10s 3d. '
Fat hoggets, best woolly 13*. shorn lls to lls Od, good 10s to 10s lOd. Stores.- —Sheep: Two-tooth wethers, forward condition, 9s 3d to 9s sd; backward, 8s 6d; four-tooth wethers, 9s 2d; twotooth ewes, good condition, 13s to 13s 3d; others from lls Bd.
There was a fair yarding of fat cattle, and prices were easy. P.A. bullocks, £8 10s; Hereford bullocks, £8 10s; other breeds, £7 to £8; heavy cows, £5 7s: Hereford cows. £2 13s to £3 8s Gd; Shorthorn cows, £3 17s 6d; P.A. cows, £3 17s; Hereford heifers, £5 ss; Jersey heifers, £2 10s.
Store Cattle.—Yearling heifers, 30s to £1 7s 6d; store cows, to £2 7s; Holstein cows, £3 4s; P.A. cows, to £2 16s; P.A. heifers, £2 los; P.A. bullocks, £4 11s to £5 4s; cows guaranteed empty, £2 Bs. No dairy cows were offered.
