RACING AT WINTON
TO-MORROWS PROSPECTS
At most recent advice weather prospects were good for the opening day of the Winton Jockey Club's Aunual Meeting'to-mor-row, and the track is likely to be hard and fast. The fields vin-y in size, and although some are large tlfcre will be only a single dividend in others. The principal event is the WINTON CUP, of 115 sots; one mile and a quarter. st 11) st Hi Ked Sea 9 0 Night Rose .. 7 7 Heel Boa 8 8 Steeton 7 7 Tippling 711 Watcrpower .. 7 2 Wingatui .... 7 9 The Hector ... 7 0 Night Maid ... 7 7 Several horses in the Winton Cup have recently been showing useful form, among whom may he named Red Boa, Tippling, Wingatui, Night Maid, and Steeton. Tippling won the Gore Cup, and as he is improving should be able to manage the 111b extra he will have to carry to-morrow. The Rector, another winner at Gore, is a prospect off the minimum. A good panmay be Tippling and Red Boa. Horses who should make creditable showings in the other events are:—Trial Stakes: First Song and Glenham Lark. Hokonui Trot (harness): Lady Voism. Winton Steeplechase: Polling Day. I'lying Handicap: El Boa. Barkly Hack Handicap: Hula Belle and TotoU.mai-Insolv-ency bracket. Otnpan liot (saddle): Man o' Fran/, and Dusky. 'lradi-snian s Handicap: Waterpower and bleelou.
