PARTS DUTY FREE
Eeplying to a question at Petone last night, Mr. Walter Nash, the Labour candidate for the Hutt seat, said he considered that motor-car parts should be admitted to the Dominion duty free. The natural result would be that largo assembly works would be established by British manufacturers, and all upholstery work could be done by Ni?vv Zealand labour, while the cost of motor-cars would be brought down. He had been told that work could be found for -170 men liy one concern, the year round, if this plan was followed.
