About forty runners took part in*' the Olympic Club's run at Island Bay. The hares, L.'Watkins arid K.'Webb, set a good trail,, leading from .the' v bathing road to Melrose, down into Berhampore, across to Emerson street, through the golf links to the ridge overlooking Happy Valley, then down toward Island Bay again, ~6oming,. aut_-into— Decwent- -streetrA run-in over three-quarters of a mile resulted in a win for L. Sceats, Bright being second, and Sheard third.
