• Thirty-nine members of the Scottish. Club, followed an excellent seven- miles trail ?,on the other side of the harbour. The paper was laid by, Stevens and Parkhouse, and the trail led round Muritai into ;.Gollin's Valley, up Butterfly Creek, and back over the hill into Rona Bay. The runners had been split up into three packs, but owing to the heavy nature of the going the .fast pack was unable to overtake the slow. Over the last 220 yards a scratch/ runin was] held, and resulted;, in a win foi* C. Thompson,';;,who narrowly defeated C. BrowniT.^ LlrFlcmingVwas third. '-: .
