PROPOSALS
A forriial acknowl«dgment of the memorandum presented to the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition by prominent Wellington business
and professional men, urging tho formation of a National Government, has been made on behalf of the United Party by Mr. Forbes, who stated this morning that his letter indicated that a considered reply would be forwarded later.
No considered reply -has yet been dispatched by Mr. Coates, who states that the matter has not yet Jieen placed before a meeting of the Beform Party.
