The figures are available for the supply of butter-fat from the two-mile stretch of road known as Piako road on the Hauraki Plains for tho year ended 30th June. This area is claimed to be the- richest producing area in New Zealand, and thorcfore in the world.

The road has the frontages of fifteen farms, varying from 290 acres to 50 acres. They produced 361,1511b of butter-fat, which at Is a lb equals £18,----057; the total area of 2296 acres thus averaging 1571b of butter-fat, or £7 17s, per acre.

Last season tho area did not produce quite so much as this season, but tho price was much higher.
