Speedier both back and forward than their opponents, Hult made no race o it against Oriental, whom they beat to the tune of 33 to nil. Tlie standard of. plaj. as was to be expected, was not particularly high, but on occasions the Hutt backs shuwedHashes of brilliancy winch were enthusiastically received by the good crowd of. spectators. Lack of. combination and an outclassed back lino were the main causes of Oriental's poor showing, ihe forwards worked hard all through, but their good work in the tight was nullified by their lack of pace in the open, and the weak efforts of the team generally on defence.
