A: demonstration motor-car must be used «olely for trade purposes, and a trader is not permitted under the Act to convey his family on a, business trip, said Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in the Police Court to-day during the course of a. prosecution. ■ : ' ■ - The evidence showed- that the .manag-. ing director of a New, Plymouth, motor dealing .firm had driven through to Auckland, on business in a demonstration- car, and'took his family with'him for,company. The Magistrate held that the, vehicle had.been applied for private purposes, as .well.as for trade for the transport.of defendant's family. As the case was a test one defendant was ordered to pay costs only.; '
