EUGBY, 24th March,
Tho Parliamentary Secretary for the Treasury (Mr. Pethick Lawrence), in the House of Commons to-day, refused to recommend to the Government that a Cabinet Committee be established to make immediate inquiry into the possibility of adopting in Britain revenueproducing tariffs which recently had been the subject of much discussion among economists.
