PARIS, 23rd March. The newspapers almost unanimously express alarm and resentment and; condemn' the negotiations at a time when the stability and peace of Europe hang in the balance. 0
"L'Oeuvrc" asks why Britain has not joined in the protests, and suggests that it is due to the British week-end hopes, that Mr. Henderson will join M. Briand in notifying Austria of their astonishment at the way she proposes to break international agreements.
