Prui.se for the manner in which the members of t liv Wellington Kugby .Referees' Association officiated during tha year is Riven in the association's annual report. More than 1300 appointments of. referees were made duriug last season, and tho number of complaints received through members failing to tnke their games was \cry small. With the increasing number of teams it is appamsi that the membership must increase to meet | the dcii'iiiiid upon the services of members. At the beginning of the season the membership (active and honorary) was 160. During the year 24 new members were elected, i resigned, and 2 were transferred to other associations. The present | roll of active and honorary members is about ITS, about WO being ■ available regularly. During tile your -Messrs. A. De Clifton and G. H. Yoyce were promoted to senior status. Members of the association controlled representative matches as follows:—J. Moffitfc three, J. A. Wilson two. J. Scott two, and H. S. Leith, T. A.' Fletcher, &. J. Paton, and G. Bradley one each.
Appreciation is expressed in the report of the privilege again accorded the association of having its president present at the meetings of the Management Committee of the Wellington .Kugby Union.
The fiiiiincial statement shows a credit balance of £8 2s 7d, against which there are liabilities amounting to £9 10s Gd.
