ATTRACTIVE WORK
> PAINTINGS. AND ETCHINGS.
-In the "Fine Arts Salon,"' in "The Evening Post" Buildings, is being held for a fortnight .in exhibition of paintings and etchings "by Miss £. G. D. Turner, whose work is well-known in Wellington. During her last visit to England she specialised in etching under Stanley Anderson, Fellow of the Royal Society of PainteiEtthers. Fifteen very inteicsting and fine etchings are riio-nn in the exhibition, one oi them being a portrait which received honourable mention at the Paiis Salon. There are also several portraits in oils and in water-colours, "Copy of a Rembrandt Portrait" and "An Italian Fisherman" being particularly striking. Amongst the many water-colours are fine atmospheric studies. In "Yellow Sails, Venice," "Hyde Park," and "Flower Stall, Florence," a strong sense of colourvalue is revealed.. The exhibition is one which is well worth a visit.
