RED CROSS DAY
FINAL ARRANGEMENTS MADE
A meeting of helpers for the forthcoming Eed Cross Day was held at Eed Cross headquarters, Dixon street, when Mr N. Grant presided. It was decid ed that Friday, oth December, should be the day selected for the effort, and that stalls should bo erected at all tho chief points of vantage in the city. It was resolved also that 10,000 small flags bo procured, and tho suggestion of the secretary that the society hayc its own collecting-boxes was agreed to, and he was instructed to make arrangements accordingly. Stalls will bo erected at the places undermentioned with the following conveners:—Bowen street, Upper Hutt and Khandallah ladies, Mrs. Dr. F. W. Kemp; Kirkealdie and Stains, Voluntary Aid Detachment, Sisters Lewis and Lees; G.P.0., Mrs. Millar and Mrs. Grant; Bank of New Zealand (Lambton quay), Mcsdames S. Myers and J. Pow; Boulcott street, Mesdames Chapman, W. Downes, and Miss B. Bown; Bank of' New Zealand (Cuba street),! Mrs. Cameron; G.P.O. (Courtenay j place), Mrs. Hayman; -John street. Island Bay ladies, Mrs. Gledhill; top of Kelburn ear, Kelburn Presbyterian Ladies' Guild, Mrs. E. Inglis; Veitch and Allan V corner, Mrs. L. 11. Angus.
