(By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCABGILL, This Day. In the Supreme Court the jury awarded Margaret M'Beath £1300 damages, one-third to the plaintiff and two-thirds to her four children, - arising out of the death of her husband, the driver of a baker's cart which was struck from behind "by a motor-ear driven by Boy Wallace. A previous jury had found for £1250, but a re-trial was granted on the ground that the verdict was against the weight, of the evidence; . ' . . . ' . The present jury .found that Mr. M'Beath was guilty of negligence in turning at an intersection without giving, warning,; but that the real cause of the fatality was the negligence of Wallace. . . Counsel for the defence moved for judgment on the findings for defendant. His Honour said, that he-would hear counsel later before entering judgment.,
