USE OF BIGGER WICKETS (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, 22nd August. The New Zealand Cricket Council decided to-night to recommend associations at their annual meetings to adopt the higher wickets for Plunket Shield matches tiiis season. In the meantime the secretary was instructed to write to major a-ssociations to get their views on the matter. , The chairman pointed out that if a team went to England it would have to use bigger wickets, and players should therefore have experience with them here this season. It was decided to make further application to the New South Wales Cricket Association for a refund of income tax on the M.C.C. match.
