The finul meeting of the .Ball Committee for the .Plunket Ball, which was held on 11th July,, was held this week. The balance-sheet showed that the gross takings were £724 0s lid, and the expenses £105 0s lid, leaving a net return of £619. . The committee of the society i expresses its sincere gratitude for the great help that was rendered to it on this occasion. Such success would have been impossible without the help of the society's many frieuds, many of whom joined the committee to help with the ball and worked hard on the sub-committees. The committee regrets that it is impossible to acknowledge directly the many gifts that were given to the supper, but takes this opportunity of expressing its appreciation of the generous response that was made to its appeal; it was principally owing to the fact that the whole of the supper was given that the net return -was so saisfactory.
