BYLAW OFFENCES
Offences against the bylaws were dealt with by Mr. W.-H. Woodward, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. For allowing a chimney to catch on fire, Bernard Benson was fined 10s. Horace Victor M'Halick was fined 10s for leaving a motor-ear unattended,^ and for a similar offence Leonard Davidson Patersou was ordered to pay the costs, 10s. On charges of haying no driver's licence, Charles Thomas Bridge and Henry James Plumridge were each fined . 10s. On a charge of driving a motor-cycle in a dangerous manner, Plumridge was fined £2.' ' ■■■ .'.'■.; Failure to give way at an intersection cost Clifford Wihnot Ross 30s, and for similar offences Oswald Stuart James, Archibald.M'Leany Thomas Charles Powell, Malcolm Ernest . Rose, and William Nathaniel Rowe, were each fined £1.
