(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, sth August. Prisoners were sentenced by Mr. Justice Smith. George M^Kenna, ,for demanding money by menaces] theft, and assault, was sentenced to three, years' hard labour; Joseph Baxter, aged 55, for indecent assault on a malej was sentenced to three months' imprisonment; Rangi Harawana, for robbing with violence, was sentenced to five years' hard labour; William Thomas, for a similar offence, was sentenced to four years' hard labour; Thomas James Gibson, aged 19, for theft of horses, was sentenced- to two years'. Borstal treatment; Albert Joseph Vanco Ryan, for stealing and altering a cheque, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment.
