The English gold and silver medals are ,to be played for in Palmorston North. The South Island tournament will be played this, year at Invercargill, about tho end of January. . The Hacrcmai Club held. a_ satisfactory annual meeting, there being a full attendances of members.' Mrs. Booe.ock (president) occupied the chair. The report' and balance-sheet were; read and passed as highly satisfactory. Mrs. Boocock was re-elected as president, with Mrs. M'llroy as hon. secretary and Mr. Boocock as hon. treasurer. Mrs. Bush was elected captain, and tho committee members selected were Mesdames Colley, Caldow, Bush, and Pollock.
